By placing an order with Katanastar (ABN:47160351092), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out on this page. By purchasing from us, you are entering a legally binding contract between yourself as a customer and Katanastar as your supplier of product and services.
These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, with both parties subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. These terms and conditions cannot be changed unless agreed by Katanastar in writing or in email form. If you do not agree to the below terms and conditions set out then please DO NOT use or purchase any products from this website. Katanastar reserves the right to add to, change or delete the below terms and conditions, due to circumstances beyond our control including: Internet technology and applicable laws.
Ordering
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the item from our website under our terms and conditions. At this point, there is no acceptance by Katanastar.com to supply any product. Katanastar.com reserves the right to refuse service; terminate service; remove or edit contents; or cancel and refund an order at their sole discretion. If your order cannot be accepted or processed, you will be contacted by email or phone.
You must be at least 18 years of legal age to order products from Katanastar.com. By agreeing to the terms and conditions and ordering from us, you are acknowledging that you are 18 years old or above. Katanastar.com cannot guarantee that it will notice or be able to prevent any illegal or inappropriate use of this web site, nor can Katanastar.com guarantee that it will give notice of any illegal or inappropriate use of this web.
Currency, GST and Price
The prices listed on the website are the final prices in Australian Dollars (AUD), no additional taxes will be added. All prices are not inclusive of shipping cost. Shipping cost is shown separately and is calculated based on your location and product type. No refund will be applicable if a product you have purchased becomes available at a lower price. We reserve the right to change the price on our advertised products without any prior notice. This is one of the ways we update and keep our prices competitive at all times.
Payment
Shopping Express currently only accepts payment methods mentioned below:

- - Visa or Mastercard through the Paypal Website.
Payment will only be processed when all necessary information is provided. Please make sure you have assisted in providing the correct information on all necessary fields. PayPal and credit card payments are processed by Paypal from between 0 - 3 days. Please take this into consideration when you pay by Paypal.
Our business hours are between Monday to Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm, excluding NSW public holidays. Orders made during the weekend or public holiday will not be processed until the next business day.
Shipping
All items will be delivered to the shipping address provided unless otherwise agreed by us. Shopping Express will take reasonable care to dispatch your order within the estimated dispatch time frame provided in our listing.
The estimated shipping time frame is 1-6 business days after dispatch, depending on the shipping address and is subject to the limitations of our third party delivery companies. As such, we do not guarantee that the item will be delivered within the estimated delivery time frame.

Order Amendment or Cancellation – requested by customer
We cannot guarantee changes to your order can be made once it has been paid for. An order cannot be amended or cancelled without prior written approval from in Katanastar.com. Changing of shipping address, product or quantity after you have paid are examples of amendments that need prior approval from us. You may not assume that we have to do so upon receiving your request. We reserve the right to approve or reject any requests for order amendment or cancellation based on your reasons; whether the time you provided for us to make the amendment or cancellation is reasonable; and presence of any delay from our side causing this request.
Please note that while your emails are important to us, they may not be read immediately after they are sent, so we do not assume responsibility for amending or cancelling on grounds that you emailed us shortly after paying for the order. If your order has already been shipped, you may return your order in accordance with our Returns Policy. We may also charge additional shipping costs if we need to resend your parcel for reasons including but not limited to the customer's change of mind, an incorrect address, the parcel being unclaimed or a purchase made in error.
Order Cancellation – by Katanastar.com
We reserve the right to cancel orders any time at our own discretion. If you have already paid for the order, we will issue a full refund or offer an equivalent or substitute product to you at our agreed price. If a product becomes unavailable, we may cancel the order and either offer you a substitute model or refund your payment as soon as possible.
Accuracy of Information
Although we endeavour to take all reasonable steps to ensure that information published on our website is correct, our system is not fail safe and errors can occur. As such, information may change without prior notice. Katanastar.com will not hold liability for advertising incorrect information caused by a system failure or manufacturer error.
Product Colours
We have done our best to display all products and images as accuratly as possible with the appropriate colours listed in the product descriptions. However, the colours you see will also depend on your monitor and colour settings you have set, so there is no guarantee that the colours listed will be the same as what you receive.
Refunds
Refunds will only be made to the original Paypal account of purchase. If you paid with a credit card, the refund will be made to the linked Paypal account. If you do not have a Paypal login, you can contact your credit card issuer for more details. A maximum purchase limit by unit may be imposed.
Promotions
Promotions by Katanastar.com are deemed to be finished when stock runs out or the promotion period expires, whichever comes first. A maximum purchase limit by unit may be imposed.
Warranty
Products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Products and components are warranted against failure or defect arising from normal use between 3 months to 12 months from the date of purchase. (Proof of purchase must be provided when making warranty claims i.e. copy of receipt, invoice or internet conformation.) Some exclusion's do apply, please refer to the individual user manuals for full warranty information; Shipping and labour charges are not included in this warranty. Katanastar.com will replace or repair at their discretion any product found to be defective in materials or workmanship.
The warranty, or implied warranty, does not cover normal wear and tear and all warranties are void if the product is used for anything other than normal activities. Repairs or replacements required where there is evidence that such conditions have contributed to a component failure; will not be covered by the warranty.
This warranty does not cover any personal injuries, damage to or failure of the product or any other losses due to mishandling, incorrect use for its intended purpose, accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, normal wear, modified using unauthorised methods, serviced by another party, insect or vermin infestation, improper assembly, improper installation, improper method or failure to maintain service and handle the item with reasonable care. Claims under this warranty should be made via email with dated proof of purchase. Any defective part will be replaced free of charge. Installation labor is not included in this warranty. This warranty is extended to the original owner only and does not cover any defect, malfunction or failure which does not conform to the limited warranty aforesaid. It is acknowledged that you are aware and have accepted these terms and conditions when you purchase from our website.
Vouchers and Coupons
If you receive or purchase a voucher from us, it will appear in your “My account” page. This is another form of credit offered by Katanastar.com that can be applied towards the payment of orders under the terms and conditions of each voucher issued. Vouchers are applied towards the payment before any other form of payments. Any excess of vouchers may be used for subsequent orders depending on the terms and conditions of voucher issued. Any balance remaining on the order after applying the voucher in your account, need to be paid off using other payment methods outlined in the payment methods section above.
Returns
For all warranty claims please contact us, providing your order number, date of purchase and detailed description of the problem. Our technical department will be in touch with you upon receiving your claim. Once a claim is accessed and deemed to be valid, we will issue you a RMA (Return Authorisation) number as your reference number to return the product.
Once your receive an RMA number and have been instructed to return the product to us, you can follow our instructions to send back the item. **Please DO NOT send the item back before you receive any RMA number or proper instructions. Doing so will mean you did not follow our warranty claim procedure properly and we are not responsible for the loss of the product during transit or in our warehouse. We reserve the right to nominate the return postage/courier method to be used.
The following conditions need to be met when you are returning the faulty product to us:
- You need to make sure the faulty item is securely packed so the returning courier can safely deliver it. It will be good if you still have the original packaging, but in cases where you do not, you need to look for packaging that can offer similar level of protection to pack the item.
- You must include the following information and require out the outside of the packaging before you send the item:
o Your Full Name
o Your Order Number
o Your RMA number given to you for this specific claim.
o Return the faulty product within 10 days from the date of issue of your RMA number.
Customer need to pay for the faulty products to be sent back to us. If items returned to us are diagnosed to be non faulty, you will also be charged the delivery fee for sending the item back to you.
Change of Mind Returns
We allow change of mind purchase up to 7 days from the date the item is delivered or available for pick up at your local post office if it has not been collected (whichever is earlier). You need to contact us providing your full name, order number, the product you wish to return and date of purchase and indicating your intention to return the item.
Our RA department will then issue you a RMA number with proper instructions on how to return the item. In cases of change of mind returns, we only allow exchange of products to any other products in our store but not the exact same model, or as a Katanastar.com store credit. In the event that the item is returned to be exchanged with another product, the difference in the price to pay for the to be exchanged product will be treated as the total price of the to be exchanged product (price + postage) less the price of the original product, less the delivery cost of original product (if the item is sold under free delivery, a minimum of $9.95 will be charged depending on the weight of the product). A handling fee of $10 or 15% will apply whichever is higher.
If the price of the to be exchanged product is lesser in value than the original product, a Katanastar.com store credit refund for the difference of the above mentioned calculation method will be issued. In the event where a credit refund is requested immediately for the change of mind return, the value of the credit will be equivalent to the price of the original product, less the delivery cost of original product.
The following conditions need to be met for change of mind returns:
- The item to be returned must be in new 100% resalable condition, with all internal and external packaging, any accessories, instruction manual or labels included when sent back. We reserve the right to reject any change of mind returns in the event that we find the received product not in new 100% resalable condition and is damaged or in a condition we feel unfit for resell. If the item is rejected for a change of mind return when we receive the product, we will charge you $20 or up to 30% restocking and handling fee (instead of 15%), whichever higher, for the time and resources involved, upon determining that the item is not in 100% resalable condition but can be sold as refurbished product.
- Do not stick or write anything extra on the packaging of the item, only do so on the external packaging of the item.
- The item returned has to be securely packaged so the returning courier can safely deliver it.
- The item must be returned within 10 days from the date of issue of your RMA number for the item.
Note: For hygienic reasons some products may not be returned under this policy. Item(s) returned will be assessed and further costs/ deductions may apply if they do not meet the above conditions. Please ensure you do not knowingly transmit any material that may contain a virus or other harmful component.
Return to Sender
Return to Sender occurs when the delivery company cannot get the parcel to you and returns the parcel to us at our cost.
- - If the reason of RTS is due to an error made by us resulting in parcel not sent to the correct address, we acknowledge our mistake and will resend the parcel to the correct address at our cost.
- - If the reason of RTS is due to an error on your part and as a result, we incurred the additional charges by our delivery company, we reserve the right to pass the incurred charges to you as a condition of resending the parcel to you.
Errors on your part could be due to you providing an incomplete or incorrect shipping address due to mistake or negligence (incomplete shipping address applies to not putting a Company Name where delivery is sent to a business address). It can also be due to your failure to collect the parcel within the time frame (usually around 2 weeks) advised on the reminder notice left by the shipping company in your mailbox during their attempted delivery. Not receiving the reminder notice due to it missing in your mailbox is not a valid reason for your inaction.
If the above-mentioned scenario occurs, you have the option to cancel this order when it has been returned to us; by which we will then refund you the amount you paid for the order, minus all shipping costs incurred as well as a restocking and handling fee (amount is around 15% of item or
minimum of $10 whichever is higher).

Indemnity
The user of this web site shall at all times keep the owners and proprietors, employees and sub-contractors, of this web site indemnified from and against all claims, demands, actions, proceedings or prosecutions which may be brought, commenced or prosecuted against the owners and proprietors, employees and sub-contractors, or in which the owners and proprietors, employees and sub-contractors, may be involved in consequence of or relating to the manufacture, production, provision or supply of the goods by the user.
